As featured in Vogue, Francesca and Nick's wedding in the Northern Beaches of Sydney aimed to have 'the ease of a summer soirée, but the mood of a secret garden party.' Hosted on the first day of Summer, Francesca loved the idea of mixing a summery palette and playful textures together.
Tying their love knot at Wiltshire Park in Palm Beach, the space was transformed into a fairy realm by Heidi of The Romance who brought together moss, pearls, satin bows and florals to create a fairy garden. The reception featured pastel green, baby blue, purples and crisp whites tablescapes romantically lit to candlelight against the crisp white background of Dunes.
I'm incredibly lucky to call Francesca & Nick family, so it was an absolute honour to not only celebrate them on their big day but to also be asked to create their stationery. They generously allowed me to work fairly independently on their stationery alongside Heidi of The Romance. I wanted their stationery to visually celebrate their romance and the elevated but organic feel of their brief. The soft green linen signage featured modern hand-lettering and hand-drawn illustrations of jars. The table numbers were all hand-painted white and adorned with baby blue hand-painted numbers. The menus featured calligraphy that was hand-written and printed and alongside the place cards, they were individually cut by hand on Almond cardstock and painted with baby blue paint to create playful texture on every plate.
