When Heidi of The Romance sent me the brief for Bella & Nick's wedding day - with it's key words being 'Raw Tuscany meets Ambient Festivity' — I knew I had to work on their wedding! With a luxurious private estate in the Hunter Valley as their backdrop, Heidi's brief combined burnt tones, organic illustrations & lettering and classic European garden party imagery with a modern twist.
To compliment Heidi's stylistic vision, I created hand-drawn illustrations in crayon and coupled the illustrations with a modern serif font and feather light hand-lettering. We created alternating menus down the table to incorporate the tones of the day and extended these visuals with hand-painted checkerboard print on the linen Welcome and Seating signs.
