Real Wedding | Allie & Gavin – The Blackline Bottega

When Allie first approached me about creating some hand lettering, a monogram and stationery for her wedding to her love Gavin, I could tell that she had a really clear aesthetic vision for her day. What I loved most about it was that it was going to stretch our work in a different direction.

Allie envisioned my delicate hand-lettering with hologram stickers and neon signage, a modern wedding website and a floor decal. Whilst this is all part of our bread and butter offering now, Allie was one of the first brides' to push our work in that direction.

When creating the aesthetic proposal for her wedding stationery, we discussed the importance of each piece adding something new to the suite; and not having every piece feature the same hand lettering. We created a monogram and a single-line version of their names to create a point of difference; and multiple iterations of the hand lettered quote to make it flexible across the paper suite, decal, and neon signage.
